Introduction

The Republic of New Africa was an independence movement to create a black nationals country in the late 1960s, including the United States of the states of Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina.

Variations

The Garvey flag might have been originally used by the Republic of New Afrika and is still sometimes attributed to it, like here: newafrikaonline.blogspot.com/2007_06_01_archive.html.
However, the flag with changed order of colors and stripes of unequal width is really used, as can be seen here: newafrikaonline.blogspot.com/2005_10_01_archive.html (  image)

However, other groups which support the forming of the African-American state also make use of the original Garvey's flag, such as the Black Riders Liberation Party: brlpmiami.blogspot.com

Front for the Liberation of the New Afrikan Nation (FROLINAN): www.worldafropedia.com/afropedia/Front_for_the_Liberation_of_the_New_Afrikan_Nation

the last one also using the colors in vertical pattern:

A painting by the artist Kenneth Peeples II, named "Republic of New Afrika", shows his proposal for this would-be country's flag - the Confederate flag on which red, white and blue colors are replaced with green, red and black, respectively. The Confederate flag pattern was used because the area was once the part of the Confederate States of America.

Front for the Liberation of the New Afrikan Nation (FROLINAN) is a political organization whose ultimate goal is the creation of the independent country for African-Americans - Republic of New Afrika. In order to achieve it, the organization is spreading its ideas through educational programs and use of visual arts and music. While using the Garvey colors in original horizontal pattern, FROLINAN also makes use of a vertical red-black-green flag.
